FAQ: FAQ

Is there an age / weight limit to skydive?

Skydivers must be 18 or older to participate.

We can take passengers that weigh up to 250 pounds depending on the weather and body composition.

We charge a $25 service fee if the passenger weighs over 220 pounds.  This offsets the additional fuel, and wear to the equipment and instructor.

What should I wear to skydive?

Clean comfortable clothing that you won’t mind if it gets torn and lace-up shoes appropriate for the season.

In the summer T-shirts and athletic shorts feels nice and cool at altitude and not too hot on the ground. Warm thin layers in the winter will keep the wind from making you uncomfortable. We have jumpsuits available at your request.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. We will fill out the necessary paperwork, give you some brief instructions, and put on the necessary equipment prior to your skydive.
Plan to be at the airport for 2-3 hours in case there is weather or other such delays.

How high do we jump?

We will exit the airplane at approximately 2 miles above the ground.
During your freefall, you will get to speeds of around 120 miles per hour before we deploy the parachute. While we are under parachute you can direct your instructor to take a nice leisurely descent and enjoy the cool air and silence away from the hustle, or you can ask them to spin you up and do a bunch of speed-inducing maneuvers.

When are you open?

We take reservations Fridays, Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 6 PM

and many Holidays

What kind of weather can we jump in?

There are times we have to delay due to rain, clouds, or dangerous winds.  In these cases, we will send out a delay notification to the phone and email in the reservation.

If you are worried about the weather please give us a call (254-947-3483) before you come out and we will talk to you about the current jump conditions.

I want to jump by myself, do I have to do a tandem.

In order to jump by yourself you must complete our First Jump Course, six Accelerated Free Fall jumps, and two Training Tandems.
Training Tandems are by far the most successful way to begin your skydiving journey. Nothing can simulate the way you have to perform your maneuvers in freefall and under canopy while feeling the adrenaline of an actual skydive, and coach you on the finer points of landing a parachute while you actually do it.
